Albert Chai is general manager for ASEAN at Red Hat, with responsibility for the region’s overall business. Albert is passionate about supporting customers’ digital transformation journeys and collaborating with partners to unleash the full potential of open source innovation.

Albert Chai brings 25 years of experience in the IT and telecommunications industry across the Asia Pacific region. Prior to his current role at Red Hat, he served as the Managing Director for Cisco Malaysia. He also held previous management roles at Acision Malaysia, a global leader in messaging and mobile internet solutions, and as the country director of Logica Indonesia.

Albert was a recipient of the Malaysian Government’s civil service scholarship, and graduated from University College London with first-class honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Albert is fluent in English and Bahasa Melayu.

Chris Butler

Dr. Chris Butler is a Chief Architect in the APAC Field CTO Office at Red Hat, the world’s leading provider of open source solutions. Chris, and his peers, engage with clients and partners who are stretching the boundaries of Red Hat's products. Chris facilitates co-innovation engagements with our clients and partners with our product engineering team. Chris is currently focused on the strategy and technology architecture enabling 'digital sovereignty' at Red Hat including: how to build xPU clouds; "Sovereign" clouds and the unique requirements of Governments across Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining Red Hat Chris has worked at AUCloud and IBM Research. At AUCloud Chris led a team who manage AUCloud’s productisation strategy and technical architecture. Chris is responsible for the design of AUClouds IaaS & PaaS platforms across all security classifications and prioritisation of investment with internal and external stakeholders.

Chris spent 10 years within IBM in management and technical leadership roles finishing as a Senior Technical Staff Member at the Centre for Applied Research in IBM Consulting. Chris is an experienced technical leader, having held positions responsible for: HR management of technical teams; functional strategy within the IBM Research division (Financial Services); developing the IBM Global Technology Outlook; and as development manager of IBM Cloud services.

Chris’s technical experience spans from build and deployment of IaaS platforms to industry specific AI applications. He has consistent experience in the productisation of innovative technologies across multiple industry sectors.

Chris has been consistently recognised with corporate and academic awards. Chris has a PhD from Monash University modelling blood flow of thrombotic geometries using high performance computing.

Tammy Tan

As country manager, Tammy Tan is responsible for overall sales and business aspects of Red Hat Malaysia. In this role, she leads the country team to drive sustainable growth by building strong and collaborative relationships with enterprise customers, as well as partners.

Tammy joined Red Hat from Cisco Malaysia where she served as the Director of Enterprise and Commercial. She brings with her 21 years of experience in the IT industry, with deep experience in Financial Services, as well as a broad perspective on vertical solutions within the Energy, Oil and Gas Sector, Transportation, Manufacturing and Hospitality.

Tammy has a passion for STEM, and started her career as one of the first female engineers at Siemens and NTT Communications. She holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Multimedia University of Malaysia.

Ahmad Fadhlul Irham Yusoff ialah Pengarah Pusat Pengetahuan, Komunikasi dan Teknologi (PPKT) di Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Beliau merupakan tokoh ICT yang aktif dalam Majlis Pengarah-Pengarah ICT IPTA (MAPITA) dan terlibat dalam pengurusan strategik digital serta aplikasi di USM.

IPTA (Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Awam) refers to public universities and colleges in Malaysia established and funded by the government, such as UM, USM, UKM, UTM, and UiTM Jawatan: Pengarah PPKT USM.
Peranan Industri: Timbalan Pengerusi 1 MAPITA.
Pendidikan: Memiliki MBA dalam Service Science, Management and Engineering dari USM.
Kepakaran: Pengurusan teknologi maklumat, pembangunan aplikasi, dan infrastruktur digital.
Beliau sering terlibat dalam perjumpaan eksekutif dan sesi perkongsian berkaitan ICT bersama pihak pengurusan universiti.
