Malaysia expected to attract RM637b investments in renewable energy, green technology by 2050

alaysia is expected to attract direct investments of about RM637 billion in renewable energy (RE) and green technology, in addition to creating 310,000 job opportunities by 2050, according to the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (Petra).

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said the government had also set the local ownership equity in all RE projects introduced and implemented to be at least 51%.
