Indonesia aims to become global AI player, not just user: ministry

Indonesia is aiming to transform from a passive consumer into a major global force in the artificial intelligence (AI) landscape, deploying a comprehensive strategy designed to tap into every layer of the technology's supply chain.

Speaking in Yogyakarta on Thursday (August 13), Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria unveiled the government's five-layer strategic approach to address the entire AI ecosystem, commonly known as the "full stack" of AI.
