Budget 2027: RM5 Bln To Boost Internet Connectivity, RM130 Mln For Creative Industry

The government has allocated RM5 billion to strengthen the country's Internet connectivity through the National Digital Network Plan (JENDELA) project, alongside more than RM130 million to support the local creative industry under Budget 2027.

In a statement today, the Communications Ministry said that the investment included expanding 4G coverage to all Orang Asli villages and extending telecommunications infrastructure nationwide.
