Philippines opens first AI-ready data center to support digital growth

MANILA, Philippines โ€” President Marcos yesterday led the launching of the countryโ€™s first hyperscale and artificial intelligence (AI)-ready data center in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

The 500-megawatt VITRO Sta. Rosa Data Center was developed by VITRO Inc., a subsidiary of ePLDT under the PLDT Group.

โ€œAs a powerful tool in the digital age, this mega-infrastructure provides essential protection for sensitive data across the public and private sectors,โ€ Marcos said in a speech.
