To protect Filipinos, leverage tech: AI Bill of Rights pushed

LAWMAKERS urged the 20th Congress to pass a Bill of Rights on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to safeguard Filipinos against fake news, algorithmic bias, and privacy violations while ensuring the country maximizes the benefits of this self-learning technology.

“With AI rapidly becoming part of our daily lives at home, work, and school, it is Congress’ duty to ensure that this powerful technology is used responsibly, ethically, and safely,” said House Deputy Majority Leader Luigi Villafuerte.
