Gas Malaysia launches APAC's first methane-to-graphene system, expands into advanced materials

KUALA LUMPUR: Gas Malaysia Bhd, a member of MMC Corp Bhd, has launched Asia Pacific's first methane-to-graphene system, marking a step in its shift towards advanced materials and higher-value industrial solutions.

The system, developed with UK-based Levidian, uses LOOP technology to convert methane into graphene and hydrogen-rich gas. The process is intended to extract additional value from existing gas infrastructure while supporting lower-emission industrial applications.
