Anwar says Malaysia must adapt to new security threats

Malaysia can no longer rely on conventional approaches to national security as emerging threats now extend beyond the military, police and enforcement agencies, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said.

He said the old understanding of security as the sole responsibility of security forces was no longer sufficient, as threats, particularly in cybersecurity, now reached every home, individual and student.
