AI can boost Indonesia's strategic global position: deputy minister

Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to propel Indonesia into a strategic global position across data, energy, infrastructure, and human capacity, according to Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Stella Christie.

Stella emphasized that Indonesia possesses the necessary foundation—including policies, digital infrastructure, talent, and abundant renewable energy reserves—to build a sovereign AI ecosystem.
