AI and Automation Reshape Malaysia’s Workforce as Skills and Adaptability Become Critical for Future Jobs

As artificial intelligence (AI) and automation accelerate, they are reshaping how we work while putting Malaysia’s workforce to the test, requiring greater resilience and adaptability to remain relevant in an increasingly complex and uncertain job landscape.

The group chief executive officer of Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad, Biruntha Mooruthi, said that approximately 697,000 workers in Malaysia are expected to be significantly affected by AI, digitalisation, and the green economy across 22 sectors within the next three to five years.
