Indonesian govt calls for joint enforcement of data protection law

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs urged greater public–private collaboration in enforcing the country’s Personal Data Protection Law to build public trust and strengthen Indonesia’s position in the global digital economy.

Deputy Minister Nezar Patria said public trust had become a new “currency” in the digital era, emphasizing that personal data protection was the foundation of innovation and competitiveness.
