From gambling to AI: Indonesia rejects global digital colonialism

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto's warning about online gambling at the recent APEC Summit in South Korea reflects concerns that go beyond Indonesia's borders, underscoring a wider global challenge of unregulated digital activity.

The issue is not limited to Indonesia's annual losses of about US$8 billion from online gambling, as Prabowo mentioned, but also points to a dangerous global trend of unchecked digital practices.
